Symposium III - October 12th, 2024

On Saturday, October 12, 2024, we held our third annual Dionysius Circle Symposium, focused on St. Dionysius the Areopagite and St. Maximus the Confessor.


Presenters included Vladimir Cvetković, Hanna J. Lucas, Travis Dumsday, Jonathan Bieler, and Hans Boersma. Commentators were Dominic V. Cassella, Fr. Andrew Summerson, Luke Togni, and Derek King.


The event featured reflections on divine hiddenness, metaphysics, participation, and Dionysian influence on Maximus and Aquinas. A volume based on the symposium will be published with Word on Fire’s New Ressourcement series.

On Saturday, October 7, 2023, we held our second annual Dionysius Circle Symposium, focused on Thomas Aquinas’ An Exposition of the Divine Names, The Book of Blessed Dionysius.
